Change Management
Life is not stagnant. There is a time
in one life will need to change career and look for another by changing career or upgrading ourself like
going back to school that give someone the opportunity to learn new skills and
ideas that will help us to succeed in the future.”Recognising and managing
change, while at the same time improving the business delivery processes is not
only critical to business survival, but also a catalyst to growth”(DNV,2012.p1).Change
is crucial to human development,l do accept change in all areas of life like
changing from noisy neighbourhood to quiet neighbourhood and like changing job
to better job.
There are different types of changes
that includes career change,physical change,gender change, environmental change
and religion change.

Career change that involves change your
profession from office assistant to computer analyst for better salary and job
satisfaction.
·
Physical change can be a replacement to
mechanical part of a car and house renovation.
·
Gender change that actually involves
gender transformation from Man to Woman that popularly know as transgender.
·
Environmental change that has been
greatly reflected in the global warming and some part of the word has been
having longer dry season.
·
Religion change has been a social issues
affecting our society,people has change from one religion to another
Changing a career is tough because you have
to learn new skills and new technology relating to the job. If a person can
work hard and learn quickly at the job,the return on investment will be great.I
have been a mentor to junior employees many instances,I remember one time a
Data Analyst was hired in my former company and it find hard to work on oracle
platform and the employee told me that he has
being working on IBM DB2 database
platform.I immediately assured the Data Analyst that the language is the
same but a little differ rent in syntax they both use SQL (Structured query
language).I trained the employee for a week to get adjusted to the new working
environment.”Managing the process of change is essential to successful
implementation”(Resnick,2012.p2).I strived very hard to make and I always ready
to help in area of technical troubleshooting. Sometimes the cost of changes is
high because the organization has to trained staff on new system been
implemented and new staff been hired.
I have a great attributes to lead a team
to accomplish a great task. On a personal note I think person going through
changes in life need more time to adjust to a new job and environment. The
significance of taking challenges to a new career is about learning new things,
knowing different people and a way to uplift ourselves to a greater opportunity
ahead of us. Being a leader you have to live by an example that will motivate a
lot of people to follow your path by working hard, punctuality at work and
being honest.
